Two journalists from the Myanmar Pressphoto Agency (MPA) were covering the news about the vehicle attack by the junta military on peaceful protesters, were arrested. Journalist Ko Kaung Sett Lin and reporter Ma Mhue Yadanar Khant Moet Moet Htun were arrested.
Kaung Set Lin, a journalist, was taken to a military hospital on U Wizara Road after being hit by the junta military vehicle. An MPA official said his life was in danger. Hmue Yadanar Khat Moh Moh Tun, a TV reporter with the MPA, is still missing. The peaceful anti-coup protest that took place this morning was attacked when a military vehicle drove into the group of protesters, and then troops made arrests. Many peaceful protesters were shot and killed by members of the junta. The American Embassy said in a statement on December 5th, “We were deeply shocked by the events that took place today.”
