According to the statement signed by Union Minister, this was the first step for The End of Dictatorship (EOD) program.

In addition, Min Aung Hlaing illegally confiscated other houses and buildings. The minister said he would continue to raise funds urgently needed for the revolution by selling property illegally owned by junta leaders one by one in advance.
Earlier, a referendum was held on the pre-sale of land and building on No. 14, Inya Road, state-owned property, which was illegally taken over by coup d‘etat leader Min Aung Hlaing, more than 97 percent of the people (more than 18,000 people) who voted in the six days for it, with a total bid of more than 34 billion kyats (US$ 17 million).
The sale was announced by the National Unity Government. This is in line with Article 4 and Article 5 of the “Principles of Land Confiscated by the Terrorist Military Council” issued on 24th February 2022.
