The two battles happened between the KNLA and junta soldiers on December 21st, in the KNLA Brigade 6 area, in Kawkareik Township, Kayin State. 7 junta soldiers were killed, including the commander, according to a local source.
The first battle happened at 11am between the KNLA 18th and 27th and junta soldiers Kamaya 201st and Kamaya 301st, near Kawnwe Village. 6 soldiers were killed, including the commander, and 5 were injured.
The second battle happened at the same location at around 1:30pm, the commander died and 3 others were injured, according to local sources.
