
The Chin Journal reported that the military set the houses on fire again in Thantlang, Chin State, at 2 pm today.
“We went there to see the situation in the evening. The fire broke out yesterday evening stopped burning, but the army set the fire again at about 2 pm today. It is still burning,” the young man told The Chin Journal at 7 p.m.
On November 27 at around 4:30 pm, another fire broke out in Thantlang Township and The Nicolas Catholic Church in Agriculture(Saihpiozi) ward was also on fire.
The Thantlang Placement Affairs Committee (TPAC) said that 96 houses within 3 wards including St. Nicholas Church in Thantlang, Chin State were burnt on November 27.
A fire broke out in Thantlang town at 4.30 pm yesterday, destroying 41 houses in Zunghmun ward, 39 houses in Agriculture (Saihpiozi) ward and 16 houses in the Lungtial ward were destroyed in the blaze.
Since September, four churches and more than 300 houses have been destroyed in Thantlang by fire by the Military Junta.
