In a recent development, the leader of the 7th Battalion (7th) – Zero Guerrilla Force (Myin Gyan) and their revolutionary soldiers were seen in a video walking around the city of Sarr Taung, armed with weapons. The incident took place on June 6th along the Sagaing-Monywa Highway in Sagaing Township.
Sarr Taung is situated approximately 10 miles north of Sagaing and serves as the location for the 33rd Army Division.
The leader of the 7th Battalion (7th) – Zero Guerrilla Force (Myin Gyan) explained that the purpose of entering the city with weapons was to conduct reconnaissance and prepare for a potential seizure of Sarr Taung if deemed necessary.
In a previous incident on May 21st, various revolutionary groups, including the Myin Gyan District Battalion (7) – Zero Guerrilla Force (Myin Gyan), launched an assault on a police station occupied by military personnel in Sarr Taung town, aiming to capture the camp.
However, during the battle, the group was forced to retreat due to aircraft fire. As a result, the revolutionary groups reported that 12 individuals, including an officer from the junta military group, were killed.
The Zero Guerrilla Force (Myin Gyan) remains active in the Mandalay and Sagaing regions, and it currently operates as the 7th Battalion within the Myin Gyan District under the command of the Ministry of Defense (MOD) of the National Unity Government (NUG).
