BAGO DIVISION – Starting July 12, only five gallons of gasoline can be bought in Bago and a recommendation letter is required if one wants to buy more than five gallons, according to the locals of Bago.
One of the three recommendation letters, either from Township Chairman, Ward administrator or hundred households administrator is reportedly required to buy more than five gallons.
Action would be taken if more than five gallons of gasoline are found to be stored in bottles at home but it is not yet confirmed the exact charge of the action.
“Gasoline is not anymore sold in large containers as action will be taken if it is more than the allotted amount. I heard that it has been instructed to the big gasoline stations in Bago,” said a resident of Bago.
It has been reported that the Defense forces have arrived in Bago since July 7, after which KTV, liquor stores, grocery shops and bars were instructed to close after 8:30 P.M.
