MANDALAY DIVISION- The military affiliates spread the news of victory after detaining businesswomen in Mandalay and sealing off their businesses and properties for allegedly supporting PDF last Sunday (August 13).
It is reported that the junta troops raided the stationery shop on 30th Street, between (80) and (81) intersections, East Aung Nan Yeikthar Quarter, Chan Aye Tharzan Township, on August 13. The owner’s family, three women, and a relative, a total of four women were reportedly arrested.
The military lobby claimed that the owner of that shop commented on a piece of political news from the Mekong News Agency’s Facebook page and demanded that she be arrested (through their Telegram Channel).
“They even detained her sisters, who had nothing to do with it, and immediately closed down the shop,” said a resident.
It was reported that the military group raided and robbed the stationery shop and assaulted and arrested not only the shop owner but also her female relatives.
