MAGWAY DIVISION – The Revolutionary Forces announced that a 69-year-old woman was killed after being cured for four days as the junta council fired heavy weapons without an ongoing battle, in Gangaw township, Magway Division.
The junta council troops stationed in Myaukkhinyan village, the northern part of Gangaw township, fired heavy weapons towards Myinthar village, the eastern part of the Myittha river, on the evening of September 16. As a result, two internally displaced people (IDPs) were reportedly killed and eight IDPs were injured.
Those IDPs are the villagers from Ywarthitkone village, located three miles away from the western part of Myittha village. As the heavy weapons landed and exploded while they were having their dinner, those IDPs were injured and killed.
8 IDPs were injured, including a 3-year-old girl, an 11-year-old girl, an 11-year-old boy, and two men and three women who were between 30 and 70 years old.
Gangaw Township Public Administration Organization issued a statement saying that one out of eight victims, a 69-year-old woman, was killed during the medical treatment.
It was also stated that a 37-year-old man and a 42-year-old man were still in life-threatening conditions.
On September 15, the members of PDF attacked the combination of the junta council troops and the Pyu Saw Htee militants stationed in Myaukkhinyan village while they (the combination of the junta council troops and the Pyu Saw Htee militants) were digging the underground bunker in Thintaw village, which was located in the southeastern part of Myaukkhinyan village.
During the confrontation, 7 junta council servants were said to have been killed, and a PDF comrade was injured. After the confrontation, the fascist junta council targeted the civilians and fired heavy weapons, according to the locals.
