RAKHINE STATE – It was reportedly known from witnesses from Pan Myaung Village that fascist council troops bombarded Pan Myaung Village at about 3 p.m. then invaded the village after 10 p.m. on December 11 and abducted five locals residents.
The abductees were Mr. Nga Lon Chay, Mr. Me Maung, Mr. Than Maung Gyi who are over 50 years old and Mr. Kyaw San, Mr. Go Chay who are in their 30, locals reported.
Residents of Pan Myaung Village said, “They (junta thugs) came and abducted last night (December 11). Soldiers from Taung Phyu Hill and Aung Mingalar Hill invaded the village and secretly surrounded their houses to capture them. We don’t know the reason and where they were being taken.”
At present, there is a military tension between the junta army stationing on Aung Mingalar Hill of Pan Myaung Village and Arakan Army (AA), and the military council troops stationing at Taung Phyu Hill near the Pan Myaung Village are also having military tension with AA, locals said.
“Yesterday, fierce fighting broke out at Kyaung Taung of Mrauk-U Township and Pan Myaung Village of Minbya Township. Military situation is intense against each side. We don’t know what’s going to happen,” a local resident commented.
Atrocious junta army helped its ground forces using two MI-35 fighter helicopters and one fighter jet during the fierce battle between AA against junta army on December 11 at Pan Myaung and Kyaung Taung villages.
The fascist council reinforced the food and its strength at Taung Phyu Hill and Aung Mingalar Hill using helicopters and bombarded nearby villages with heavy weapons and small arms. AA mentioned in the statement that the local residents had to flee for safety due to junta council’s reckless attacks.
