MYANMAR – The Committee Representing Pyithu Hluttaw (CRPH) said that it is saddened for the Japanese citizens struck by a terrible earthquake and wished for the fast recovery of the injured in an official message.
CRPH, along with the people of Myanmar, relayed their well wishes for the citizens of Japan who were hit by an intense earthquake that struck the west coast of Japan on Monday (January 1).
Japan was struck by a Richter scale 7.6 earthquake on Monday and following that, tsunami warnings have been issued in Toyoma, Hyogo, Niigata, Fukui and Yamagata Prefectures.
The earthquake killed six people and caused a great deal of collateral damage. There were also people injured. CRPH wished for their fast recovery and stated that it stands together with the people, parliament and government of Japan.
