MAGWAY DIVISION – After a military column of the terrorist junta council was attacked in Pauk Township, the junta council bombed Hpalankaing Police Station and Kyuaktaikhin Village from the air, resulting in civilian casualties and damaged houses, reported the local civilians.
The junta air force bombed Hpalankaing Police Station and nearby Kyuaktaikhin Village at least five times and also carried out airstrikes on April 23 afternoon, additionally attacking with a Mi35 helicopter that took off from defense industry 25.
Due to the attacks, the civilians in the area had to flee to safety and as such, the details of the damages cannot be confirmed yet.
“There was no battle. They took off from the air bases in Mandalay and Meikhtila and dropped at least five bombs. They also attacked with mounted machine guns. They bombed in three rounds. In addition, a Mi35 (helicopter) from defense industry 25 also came and attacked one time. We were told there were damages but don’t know the exact details yet. They intentionally bombed the area despite there being no battles. The planes continued towards the west,” said a local resident.
The terrorist junta soldiers and police stationed at Hpalankaing Police Station deserted the place on April 18 and left with the junta column that came out of Myaing. That junta column was chased and attacked by revolutionary forces which resulted in numerous junta casualties and has now reportedly arrived back in Myaing Township.
