BAGO DIVISION – An official of People’s Defence Force (PDF) Battalion 3802, Company 4, Underground Guerrilla Force – Okpho said that the terrorist council soldiers that came out from Waing Village police station of Okpho Township, were blasted using improvised land mines.
Five junta soldiers that came out from Waing Village police station at about 10 a.m. on June 4 were reportedly attacked using TNT mines when they reached a small lane.
“A minefield was set up at the road on the exit of the police station. Around 10 o’clock in the morning, these junta thugs came out to drink. Five of them came out. When they entered the minefield, it was detonated,” said the commander of Battalion 3802, Company 4.
As a result of the landmine attack, three junta council soldiers died on the spot and two were seriously injured. The two injured soldiers were taken away by the military council soldiers, he added.
After that, the junta soldiers recklessly fired 79mm heavy weapons and small arms for about 20 minutes but the revolutionary comrades were able to retreat unharmed.
The Company 4 of Battalion 3802, the Underground Guerrilla Force also requested the public to stay away from junta army, police, junta-appointed administrator, armed militia Pyu Saw Htee, junta’s informers, as the revolutionary forces will be escalating urban military operations.
Another 40 junta troops advancing from Magyisan Village towards Theingone Village in the afternoon of June 1 were also intercepted and attacked by Battalion 3601, Company 2 of Paungde People’s Defence Force (PPDF) using heavy weapons and small arms when the fascist troops reached between Pyingyi and Kyauttaunggyi Villages in Paungde Township, western Bago.
