MYANMAR – Nay Pyi Taw military sources shared that the junta council begged China to intervene and stop the offensive of Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA), accusing the ethnic armed force of breaking the ceasefire pact in northern Shan State.
TNLA launched an offensive on junta camps on June 25 after the junta council repeatedly broke the Haigen ceasefire agreement by shelling and bombing TNLA bases. However, the junta council told China that it was TNLA who broke the agreement and begged China to intervene and stop the offensive.
Moreover, the terrorist junta chief Min Aung Hlaing is also reported to have asked former president Thein Sein, who left for China to attend the 70th anniversary ceremony of the five principles of peaceful coexistence on June 27, to request the leaders of China to intervene for the peace in Myanmar.
TNLA led revolutionary forces have been attacking and capturing junta bases in the townships of Mogok, Sibaw, Kyaukme, Nawnghkio and Mong Mit starting June 25.
