On December 21st, at around 11:15am, a battle between the KNLA and allied forces, and junta forces took place in An Ka Laung Village, Kot Nwae Village, Kot Ka Reit District. Not less than 15 junta members were killed. The bodies were carried away by a military truck.
Later on that day, junta forces opened fire with heavy weapons from Shwe Kyat Min Phayar Gone, leaving 1 KNLA member with a minor injury.
A battle also occurred between the KNLA and junta forces at Taw Naw Waterfall, near Asia Main Road, Kot Ka Reit. The battle left 2 Junta members dead, including the Deputy Battalion Commander, and 2 injured.
In recent days, junta forces invaded Duupalar, the region of the KNU 6th Brigade, and battles continued to take place in Lay Kayt Kaw, Kot Ka Reit, and Kyar Inn Seik Kyee Townships.
