TANINTHARYI DIVISION- Ms. Khin Cho @ Mae Cho, 49, of Wa Byaw village, Laung Lone Township was brutally abducted and tortured to death by Junta soldiers according to locals.
Three vehicles carrying junta soldiers, members of Military intelligence of Myanmar members and Pyu Saw Htee arrived and raided three houses in Wa Byaw village and abducted Daw Khin Cho on Tuesday (June 21) at around 10:30 p.m.
After that, on Wednesday (June 22) at around 2 a.m, the body of Ms. Khin Cho who died of gunshot wound, stab wound and other injuries, was dumped in front of her house.
A young villager said, ” Her hands were cut with knives,one finger was also amputated. She also got injuries hit by the gun and bruises on her face”.
Ms. Khin Cho is just an ordinary civilian and the motive for the killing has not been confirmed.
The Dawei District Democracy Movement Strike Committee says four people have been killed and two others wounded by bullets and a house was burnt down in Laung Lone Township since June 16.
