RAKHINE STATE – Locals reported that the terrorist junta’s fighter jet bombarded Ah Lel Kyun Village in Kyauktaw Township, acquired by the Arakan Army (AA), on May 6, killing at least three civilians.
A resident of Ah Lel Kyun Village said that the junta army bombed over the village, at around 8:00 a.m., on May 6, and two men and a woman were confirmed dead.
“The junta’s fighter jets bombarded at around 8:00 a.m., on May 6. The bombs landed on the west and east sides of the monastery. They bombarded twice. Two men and a woman were killed, and there were injured people,” the local said.
The victims were identified as Mr. Ni Tun Oo in his 80s, Mr. Maung Han in his 50s, and Ms. Ma Dwe in her 50s. There are around 500 houses in Ah Lel Kyun Village, and it is also one of the villages that had to flee due to the fights in Kyauktaw Township.
The atrocious junta has been launching aerial bombings over all of the AA-controlled townships in Rakhine State, and 12 civilians were injured due to those attacks in Kyauktwa and Minbya townships on May 1.
On May 4, the junta’s artillery shell landed and exploded in a school in Buthidaung Town, where the Muslims were sheltering, killing four and injuring at least 15.
