
On November 29th, at around 2:30pm, in the western part of Tabayin Township, Setpyarkyin Village, the farm huts of civilians were set on fire, according to locals.
“We, Setpyarkyin Villagers, make a living by farming. We lost all our bicycles, motorbikes, tractor-trailers, and goods due to the junta’s fires. They also took more than 5,000,000 MMK in cash and jewelry”, said one local.
It was reported that the exact numbers of damaged huts was unknown since the junta was still there, but 3 huts were seen being set on fire.
On the evening of November 27th, in Nyaunghla Village, Tabayin Township, at least 20 villagers were killed due to shots from junta helicopters.
About 50 soldiers of the junta were killed by the Shwebo Lightning Troops and Union Troops. Shwebo Lightning Troops stated that no one from the Local Defense Force was severely injured.
In Kani Township, Sagaing Division, locals were fleeing to safe areas due to a battle between the junta military, stationed at the Netgyi Village, and the Local Defense Force.
It was reported that since the battles were occurring in the eastern and western part of the Chindwin River, the local civilians from nearby villages like Mudaw, Ngaphet, and Pannsine were fleeing for their safety.
