It has been reported that U Hla Min Maung, a CDM teacher, was abducted by junta forces on the evening of December 20th and passed away from injuries incurred during interrogation on the morning of December 21st in Madawbin Village, Lewe Township, Nay Pyi Taw.
“He was abducted on the evening of December 20th, and he passed away during interrogation on the morning of December 21st. He was shot dead by the junta regime in just 24 hours. His dead body was cremated at Gwe Kyi Cemetery on December 21st, but his family members were not allowed to see his body,” said one of the friends of Saya U Hla Min Maung.
It was said that the man was abducted together with Saya U Hla Min Maung, who was currently still alive.
U Hla Min Maung is a 30 year old Islamic school teacher who also participated in the Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM) against the military coup.
On the 23rd of November, a CDM teacher was shot and arrested by junta soldiers in Gyogone Village, Lewe Township of Nay Pyi Taw. While junta soldiers were investigating that CDM teacher, they found his two friends’ locations and tried to abduct them, one of them was shot dead, another one ran away and escaped, and another teacher was shot and detained with injuries.
