At around 9pm on the 7th of December, a CDM teacher and her husband living on Shweminwon Baho Street, Padauk Shwewah Township, in Kawthoung (Kawthaung), Tanintharyi Division, were abducted by the Junta, according to the locals.
“About 10 police came around 9pm. They have been abducting people here already but it’s getting worse these days. Both this CDM teacher and her husband were abducted. People here have been threatened by the junta to hide the news”, said one of the locals.
Daw Khin Phyu Phyu Win (the CDM teacher) was a primacy school teacher at the Par Sal Par Nyan Village School, Chan Phan Village Group and she has stood against the junta since the coup began. The abductees were detained in Kawthoung Myoma Police Office, according to the locals.
