SAGAING DIVISION – The Inndaw Revolution (IR) Team stated that the junta troops have been stationing at villages in the western part of Inndaw within an 8 mile radius. Almost six thousand locals from Aungkone, Nanthar, and Inn Pin Villages have been fleeing the war and could not reap their crops even during harvest time.
“Most locals own farms and lands and usually plant and harvest within each year to earn their living. Lately, the junta regime declared Martial Law in our region and oppressed the locals in various ways,” said a local.
A large junta troop has been stationed in the Inndaw Region since March 20 and reportedly torched houses in Aungkone and Tonetaw Villages three times, destroying at least twenty houses.
The Martial Law declared Indaw Town is a region where there are high military tensions and clashes between the opposition forces and up to five detainees have reportedly been sentenced to dead penalty.
