KACHIN STATE – Min Zin Thant, the Junta-backed militia leader of San Pya outpost threatened that they will commit merciless killing to residents, in case of Kachin Independence Army (KIA)plan to attack. The militia troops were stationed among civilians in Shar Du Zut, Model village in Hpakant.
They called three elders of San Pya and Aung Yar village to their San Pya outpost at around 10:30 a.m., on August 15 and said this warning.
“Min Zin Thant was angered by those elders because they did not inform the entering of KIA into their villages. He warned that he will take merciless action against residents, if it happens again,” said a local.
He said that he saw vividly with a drone from the air of the KIA team positioned near their San Pya militia camp to attack them around 3:00 a.m., on August 11.
Wa Ra Zut militia posted the images of KIA retreatment on their Telegram Channel, after fighting.
It is reported that Junta-backed militia will support 50,000 kyats for each damaged household because of the clashes in Aung Yar and San Pya village.
On the morning of August 11, there was a fierce battle between KIA and the militia forces because KIA attacked militia’s outpost and junta’s outpost in Shar Du Zut, Model Village.
