SAGAING DIVISION – Military columns, convoys, and police vehicles were blasted with mines in Kalay and Indaw townships killing 20 illegal regime soldiers and injuring many others, according to local People Defense Forces (PDF).
A 130-strong junta military column advancing from Htoma to Kalay along the Kalay – Gangaw Road was attacked with 8 mines by Kalay UGF at southern Chinsai at 6:55 AM on Tuesday ( June 21).
Similarly, Kalay UGF blasted 8 mines against a military column at 8 AM on June 21 as the junta soldiers took a break at the minefield that had been set up by Kalay UGF earlier. Kalay LDF announced they had received the news that the bodies of 20 military regime soldiers and injured ones from the blasted site were carried away by ambulances.
IR Team also reported that a car, carrying two police, was mined between Indaw and Maezar at 3 PM on June 20. A station commanding police officer from Mazar, Mr Maung Maung Tint face was pictured, and another police with him was also seriously injured and they both were being treated at Inndaw Police Station.
