SAGAING DIVISION – The junta council soldiers raided Aung Chan Thar and Inn Pat Villages in Khin-U Township by firing small weapons and heavy artillery shells, on Sunday (July 2) at around 6 a.m., and tortured and shot a 60-year-old man’s thigh.
The junta troops also killed two cows and wounded five others. While the junta council raided Aung Chan Thar Village, they abducted around four civilians and shot the thigh of Mr. Than Win, 61. They also placed him in a bunch of straws to set on fire. One civilian was also wounded by heavy artillery shells.
They are receiving medical treatment and the junta soldiers also looted the provision and items before retreating.
Also, around 100 junta troops raided Ait Pout Gyi Village, region – 5, the north of Khin-U Township, by firing small weapons and heavy artillery shells, forcing over 4,000 civilians from the southwest and the north of Khin-U Township to flee.
