“That vehicle was used to search for mines around Bo Min Gyi Kin Village only and not in other areas; they then returned towards Chaung U. At about 11:30, they were within our range and we detonated the mines. We didn’t catch them earlier. The mines were planted on one side of the road and on the other side, Claymore mines were placed. We detonated as soon as the vehicle was there, so there’s no way for them to escape. The back of the vehicle was hit, possibly causing many casualties, “ said Nway U, leader of CDSOM.
Defense Force has reviewed the ration of using specific quantity of mines and the possible mortalities .
The operation was executed by coalition forces of Tumi Fighter from CDSOM, Kandaya Eagles, Black Eagle Force -MMU, Myinmu Civil Revolution Force- CRF Myinmu Chaung U Revolution Army-CRA and Women Military Battalion ( Myaung) -M2W etc .
