KAREN STATE – As the campaign’s goal was not to achieve 2000 bullets and receive funds for 1,650 bullets only, the Karenni Nationalities Defence Force battalion (4) reportedly extended another 10 days to the “16 bullets 2,000” campaign.
With increasingly intense battles in Karenni and Shan-Karenni territory, KNDF B-04 mentioned not having sufficient resources such as bullets, and urged the supporting civilians to participate and contribute.
A bullet for M16 costs around 4,000 kyats (US$1.9) and KNDF urged everyone to participate from 500 MMK to 1000 MMK.
