MYANMAR – In Muu (Mone) Township of KNU (Karen National Union) Brigade 3 territory in Nyaunglebin District, junta artillery strikes injured two women, reported KNU on November 28.
The junta council’s Oakphyat Police Station fired three rockets into Kyain Village on November 27 evening, injuring a 35 year old woman and a 46 year old woman residing in the village.
On the same day in the KNU Brigade 6 territory, Dupalaya District, junta shellings hit a monastery, injuring two novice monks.
The Hlaingwa artillery regiment of the terrorist junta council in Kawkareik Township fired heavy artillery into Anphalay Village, also in Kawkareik Township, and the shells landed and exploded in the monastery, injuring the 14 year old and 16 year old novice monks.
Junta artillery and air strikes have frequently caused similar civilian casualties in the KNU territories.
