KAYIN STATE – According to the KNU-Central, nearly 4,000 military terrorists, including officers, were killed during the battles within nine months in the territory controlled by Karen National Union (KNU) – Kawthoolei.
From 1st January to 30th September, there were 3570 large and small battles between the Karen National Defense Organization (K.N.D.O.), Karen National Liberation Army (K.N.L.A.) and terrorist military junta within KNU – Kawthoolei controlled the area; reportedly, 3865 military terrorists, including officers, were killed, and 2,260 were injured.
The Karen National Liberation Army (K.N.L.A.) and the Karen National Defense Organization (K.N.D.O.) lost 112 fallen revolutionary heroes who sacrificed their lives for the country and the people; 399 were injured during these battles, according to the KNU Central Committee statement.
