
Ko Hnin Aung, a former committee member of All Burma Federation of Student Unions and also a responsible person of ethnic affairs was abducted and killed by junta forces and Pyu Saw Htee, on the 3rd of December, at Tin Ngoke Gyi Village, Kanbalu Township, Sagaing Region.
“He fought against the military dictatorship and served in civic duties, giving his life for the country. So, the military forces abducted and brutally tortured him to death. We will remember him as a martyr”, read an announcement of All Burma Federation of Student Unions.
“We feel sorry for this great loss as he was a dutiful person who never hesitated to fight for the students, laborers, and farmers’ rights. He passed away during the Spring Revolution. We promise that the death of our comrades, including Ko Hnin Aung, would not go down in vain. He will be remembered as our hero and we would like to honor him with the name he preferred” said U Kyaw Kyaw, Deputy Minister of Ministry of Labour from the National Unity Government.
Ko Hnin Aung was from Khin-U Township, and his family was still trying to get his body.
