SAGAING DIVISION – According to the PDF comrades, the junta council abducted and murdered Mr. Thet Khaing, one of the leaders of Myaung Special People’s Defense Force (MSPDF), in Pareinma village, Myaung township, Sagaing division. Two comrades along with Mr. Thet Khaing’s son also sacrificed their lives for the country due to the junta council’s heavy weapon, while they were going to rescue Mr. Thet Khaing.
It was known that a junta council column containing over 40 troops were positioned in Pareinma village and abducted Mr. Thet Khaing while he was entering the village by motorcycle, at around 5 a.m. on June 26.
The revolutionary forces had tried to rescue him (Mr. Thet Khaing) instantly when they heard the news of abduction. There were back and forth firefights as the junta council troops retreated by firing the continuous rounds of heavy weapons. A shell of heavy weapon landed at around 3000 feet away from the junta column where the revolutionary forces were positioned to rescue Mr. Thet Khaing. Due to the shelling, three PDF comrades, including Mr. Thet Khaing’s son, have to sacrifice their lives for the country.
Mr. Nway Oo Myaung mentioned that “due to the heavy weapons shelling, Mr. Thet Khaing’s son who tried to rescue his father, was killed on the spot. Two comrades along with Mr. Thet Khaing’s son also sacrificed their lives for the country. We can say that it was the negligence of the security forces who were on patrol. We only knew the junta forces were in the village after Mr. Thet Khaing was abducted.”
During that incident, three comrades from MSPDF and one comrade from the other revolutionary force sacrificed their lives for the country. The junta council troops left the dead body of one of the fallen comrades by torching along with three motorcycles. Due to the junta council’s shelling, five comrades were also injured.
It was known that Mr. Thet Khaing is one of the leaders of MSPDF. Before the coup, he was a tuition teacher.
The junta council columns from the Kyauk Yit military camp where around 150 junta council troops were stationed, always leave their camp during the night time and raid the villages in the early morning. Kyauk Yit military camp was located around two miles away from Pareinma village.
At around 8 a.m., on June 16, Myaung Special Drone Force attacked the junta council’s Kyauk Yit military camp using drone. During the attack, there were casualties on the junta council’s side.
