UNITED STATES – The National Unity Government’s (NUG) Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister Moe Zaw Oo, reportedly met the Burmese community on August 14 (local time) in Sacramento City, California, and discussed the current situation of the Spring Revolution.
Before this public meeting, the Deputy Foreign Minister had also met with the Spring Revolution forces in the San Francisco Bay area.
According to Myanmar Democratic Activists in America, Minister Moe Zaw Oo discussed and stated the Ministry’s current affairs and missions, the International Support on the NUG, the United Nations’ concern on the Myanmar Crisis, and the current state of relations with ASEAN countries, the US government and Congress.
Moreover, it is also discussed the US government’s authority to aid Myanmar under the Burma Act and the issues of using the rights of Burmese-American voters and taxpayers to urge American congressmen on assisting Myanmar.
The NUG Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs has been traveling around the Eastern, Central, and Western parts of the United States, meeting and having discussions with the Burmese communities in the US.
