MYANMAR – The Ministry of Education of the National Unity Government announced on May 25 that there were about 75,000 applicants for 2023 the Basic Education Completion Assessment (BECA) and 56,000 respondents took the complete (multi-subject) test.
Among those respondents, about 50,000 who followed the rules and passed the exam received certificates, and there were about 6,000 who did not get a certificate for violation of exam rules, according to the statement.
For the respondents who believe that they did not receive a certificate after taking the exam in accordance with the rules, they can apply for a Complaint form to re-check the result. The statement also stated that if there are many complaint forms, the inspection process may take time and be delayed.
In the past, a deposit of 30,000 Kyats was needed to pay for submitting a Complaint Form and applying for review, but the plan no longer exists due to people’s requests.
As for the respondents applying the Complaint Form, a report written by the student about the difficulty and situation they had during the test period and a recommendation certificate stating that the respondent had taken the test in accordance with the rules signed by an online/on-ground interim school (or) respective township’s NUG board of education (or) Education organization (or) CDM staff (or) the parents (or)students themselves must be submitted by June 25th, to the LMS – https://lms.moeedu.org’s Technical Support Channel 1.
Moreover, it is stated that it will take time to verify that the Complaint Forms submitted by self-recommendation of being CDM students, so it may take time to check the results and reply.
