MAGWAY DIVISION- The Youth Force-Saw & Kyaukhtu reported that the PDF comrades in the Gangaw district battalion provided some crops to the people fleeing the war who were in need of food.
The comrades of the Gangaw Regiment have planted plantations. In the morning of July 14, the final crops were distributed to the people fleeing the war, according to the temporary deputy battalion commander of No.-1 Military Region, Gangaw District, Battalion No.-13, The Youth Force-Saw & Kyaukhtu Force.
“It’s only been 2 months since we planted the plantation. The comrades planted it, so that they could have enough food. There are many people fleeing war nearby and facing difficulties for food. That’s why we help them as much as we can,” said the temporary deputy battalion commander.
The plantations were planted by the comrades in mid-May. They planted crops such as lady’s fingers, water spinach, roselle, peas, bottle gourd and eggplant and water them by the water from river or stream. He said that by planting more seasonal crops, they are making it possible to provide long-term support to those who have fled the war.
People who flee the war are from the villages in Yaw area and there are about 400 people. They have to live in tents at IDP camps or at their close relative’s homes.
Battalion No.13 of Gangaw District in No. 1 military region do not only fight against the military council but also build tents to live, support food and repair the road. They are also working to provide medical treatment for the public.
