BAGO DIVISION – It was reported that Mr. Yan Naing Tun, Assistant Deputy Director and Chief Warden of Daik-U prison and six prison employees were arrested and charged by the terrorist junta council on suspicion of contacting People’s Defence Forces (PDFs).
“The terrorist junta council arrested Mr. Yan Naing Tun, Chief Warden of Daik-U prison and six prison employees on suspicion of contacting PDFs. They will appear in court on July 11,” said a source.
Similarly, the junta council has arrested and prosecuted Mr. Kyi Oo, Chief Warden of Taungoo prison for the escape of 10 prisoners including political prisoners of Taungoo prison in Bago Division.
On May 18, at 2:55 p.m., seven political prisoners who were detained in Taungoo prison, one female and two male political prisoners who were unjustly sentenced to death by the genocidal junta-controlled courts, suddenly kicked the cell door with their feet and ran away with weapons from the fascist junta forces. They got one revolver from Police Second Lieutenant Aye Taw and one G-3 gun from policeman Aung Thu Win and escaped from Taungoo prison.
The junta council arrested and prosecuted Mr. Kyi Oo, Assistant Deputy Director and Chief Warden of Taungoo prison for that incident. At present, he was detained in a solitary cell.
