
President Joe Biden did not invite seven ASEAN countries, including Myanmar, to the Virtual Summit for Democracy, which will be held in December.
U.S Department of State announced the invitation list of 110 countries to the Summit on the 9th and 10th of December.
Among the ASEAN countries, four countries: The Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia and East Timor were invited. Seven countries including Myanmar, Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam, Brunei Darussalam, Laos and Cambodia were excluded from the list.
Although China and Russia were not included in the list, Taiwan was invited. Xi Jinping, President of the People’s Republic of China responded to the issue of Taiwan being invited that, America was making a mistake and was playing with fire.
