
NAYPYIDAW – According to the sources close to the court, the case against the State Counselor, indicted by the Junta for accepting gold and dollars as a bribe from Yangon’s chief minister, Phyo Min Thein, will be decreed by the court on April 26.
On April 18, the court continued to hear corruption and five other cases against Aung San Su Kyi framed by the military Junta.
A final statement was given to the court regarding the alleged case of receiving US$ 600,000 and 7 Pisa of gold from Yangon Region’s Chief Minister, Phyo Min Thein, sources close to the court reported.
Prosecution witnesses in connection with the remaining 4 cases were also questioned.
Nay Pyi Taw Mayor Dr. Myo Aung, Deputy Mayor Ye Min Oo, and Nay Pyi Taw Development Committee member, Min Thu were involved in these cases.
State Counselor, Aung San Suu Kyi, who arrived at the court, was in good health, the court community stated.
