
The road through Dala – Twantay – Kawt Hmue – Kungyangone in Yangon division and every entrance to Kungyangone have been blocked by the junta since the 20th of November and they have been searching every vehicle. According to some members of the junta, they did it because they were informed that there were PDFs in those areas.
They also blocked Kanbe junction and the entrance to Dala and searched vehicles. Since the morning of the 21st of November, they blocked all the entrances to Kungyangone and conducted security checks on vehicles along these roads.
They blocked Sa Bagan village which is located near Kawhmu and Kungyangone as well.
This blockage makes travel slower and villagers and travelers have faced great difficulties in transportation according to local news.
The Kanbe Junction in Twantay township, Yangon Southern District, has been blocked since the morning of 20th November and thorough security checks have been conducted. Furthermore, they temporarily closed the entrance of Kungyangone and Kawhmu.
A local person said, “the ward administrator said they blocked the roads and searched the vehicles so that the PDFs cannot leave the towns, but I don’t know exactly”.
According to locals, the following roads will be closed for three days from the 20th of November in Dala township. Kanbe junction, Kawhmu, and Kungyangone road.
The vehicles on the Dala – Pyaw Bwe – Koe Taung road and Dala – Pyaw Bwe – War Ba Laut Thaut roads, which are the entrances to Kawhmu, have also been checked at Dala – Thapyay Gone gate.
