MYANMAR – Locals reported that the clashes occurred in Shar Yaung Village of Min Kun area in Sagaing Township of Sagaing Division, and the destructive junta army burned and destroyed the civilians’ houses.
On the morning of August 13, the Revolutionary Forces resisted and attacked around 100 junta forces leaving Min Kun police station of Sagaing Township, and the skirmish occurred around 15 minutes. The junta forces suffered serious set-back and set fire to at least two residential houses in Shar Yaung Village, near Mya Thein Tan pagoda.
“The fight has stopped now. When it started, they fired with light and heavy weapons. The burning has stopped. About two residential houses were burned. There may be a lot of casualties on the junta side.
One of the comrades from People’s Defence Force (PDF) got minor injuries. At present, the junta dogs (military soldiers) were stationed at Mya Thein Tan pagoda,” said a local.
Similarly, there was an encounter in Pu Zun Myaung Village of Nyaunglebin Township in Bago Division, and three terrorist junta forces were killed, according to No (2) sub–Military Region of Southern Military Region.
On August 11, there was one and a half hours lasted skirmishes between 3707 Infantry of People’s Defence Force (PDF) and the terrorist junta forces on the eastern part of Pu Zun Myaung Village in Nyaunglebin Township, killing three terrorist junta forces and injuring 16. There were no injuries on the PDF side.
Pu Zun Myaung Village is the birthplace of Lu Htu U Hla and there were around 1600 houses. Since about 2 years ago, the terrorist junta troops invaded and destroyed the village, forcing more than 7,000 people to leave their homes.
In addition, the terrorist junta forces have destroyed civilians’ houses and religious buildings in Pu Zun Myaung Village, as well as selling them under the finger.
