TANINTHARYI DIVISION – A skirmish occurred between Nway Oo Guerrilla Force and the terrorist junta forces, which came out from Launglon Town, in Dawei District, near Nat Yae Yadanar Monastery in Tha Byar Village, at around 10:00 a.m., on July 11, according to the report of Launglon People’s Defence Force (PDF).
It was reported that the allied Revolutionary Forces combatted the terrorist junta forces, and after a 4-hour battle between the two sides, the terrorist junta army suffered serious set-back and retreated into the town.
During the fight, at least four terrorist junta forces were killed and three were seriously injured.
It was said that the terrorist junta forces raided and stationed at Nat Yay Yadanar Monastery in Tha Byar Village, abducted and tortured a civilian from a nearby area, and also shot and killed a 15-year-old girl.
The attack was carried out by the joint forces of Launglon PDF, Dawei District Battalion 1, Nway Oo Guerrilla Force, Pole Star Force and Students Armed Forces, according to the statement.
