BAGO DIVISION – Karen National Union (KNU) Central announced that five civilians were injured due to the heavy artillery and drone attacks by the junta council intentionally targeting the civilians in Nyaunglebin (Khlel Lwee Htoo) District of KNU Kawthoolei Administration Region.
In Muu Township of the KNU administration region, heavy weapons fired by junta light infantry battalion (LIB) 439 landed and exploded inside Phayar Lahar Village around 10:30 p.m. on August 14 and two civilians were injured by shrapnel.
Similarly, the terrorist junta forces in Oakphyat Camp carried out drone attacks on Kyaytatnyaungpin Village around 1 p.m. on August 15, injuring two civilians.
Also on August 15, a 122mm heavy weapon shell fired by junta LIB 307 exploded near Talinekhin Village in Ledo Township at 2:34 p.m. while a 122mm and 120mm shell fired by junta infantry battalion (IB) 264 landed and exploded in Yaukywarkone Village, Ngazeinn and Kanhyinkyoe Village.
In addition, junta LIB 307 fired one more 122mm shell at 2:40 p.m. The shell exploded in Ananbaung Village and a civilian was injured in the explosion.
It is also mentioned that junta IB 264 bombed Yaukywarkone Village with drones on August 16 at 9:53 p.m.
