TANINTHARYI DIVISION – The terrorist junta forces patrolling at the border of Myeik Township and Tanintharyi Township were attacked with mines for two consecutive days and five junta forces were killed, reported an official from Tanintharyi Township PDO Zone 5, Tawbonegyi Team.
Around 2:30 p.m. on November 21, around nine junta soldiers from light infantry 556 stationed in Zawae Village, Tanintharyi Township that came out to patrol were attacked by the revolutionary forces from Tanintharyi Township PDO Zone 5 at Nalchar bus stop between Tanintharyi and Myeik and one junta soldier was killed.
The next day on November 22 around 10 a.m., 11 junta forces from light infantry 556 moving towards Myeik on a patrol were similarly attacked near the bus stop again, killing four junta forces.
It is said that the terrorist junta forces opened fire wildly for about ten minutes after the attack then picked up the bodies of the dead soldiers on a car to the Zawae Battalion of light infantry 556.
“Two days of attacks killed five junta dogs (junta forces). Our comrades were able to fall back without harm,” said the official from Tanintharyi Township PDO Zone 5, Tawbonegyi Team.
