MANDALAY DIVISION – The capture of Twinnge Police Station and Tagaung hilltop police station in Thabeikkyin Township resulted in the death of four junta soldiers and capture of two and 22 weapons were seized, reported Military Region 1, People’s Defence Force (PDF).
Under the supervision of Mandalay Division Office, Battalion 509, KIA/KPDF, ABSDF and Thabeikkyin Township People’s Defence Team attacked and captured Twinnge Police Station where nine junta forces led by Police Lieutenant Kyaw Wanna Tun (Station Chief) were stationed in Twinnge Village, Thabeikkyin Township in the morning of July 27.
It is said that four junta forces were killed, one was injured and two were captured in the battle while the remaining two junta forces have gone missing. Moreover, nine small firearms, 1,103 bullets of various types, five hand grenades, 19 cartridges, five equipment, two backpacks, one belt, three side bags, two helmets, two communication devices, six mobile phones and two keypad phones were seized.
Thabeikkyin Township People’s Defence Team and special action battalion 3 similarly attacked and captured the junta police station at the top of Tagaung Hill on July 25 morning and confiscated 13 firearms, over 1,000 bullets and 28 cartridges.
