YANGON – Members of “We Are Karenni” have initiated a donation campaign through Khit Thit Media to provide assistance to comrades on the battlefield in Karenni state and a displacement camp in the western Demoso township.
Given the urgent situation, there is a need for food supplies, tarpaulins for two squadrons on the frontline, and the displacement camp in the west side of Demoso. The military forces have been launching severe attacks, including airstrikes on the displacement camps, which has created immense hardships for the civilians.
An official expressed, “The conditions are dire for our frontliners, particularly during the rainy season. Two individuals have to share one tarpaulin, and continuous battles leave no time for cooking and eating. Therefore, we require dry rations, tarpaulins for cover, shoes, and instant noodles.”
