SAGAING DIVISION – A KIA source said heroin and narcotic drugs were seized from the junta council camps after the KIA and PDF Joint Revolutionary Forces took over the Pinlebu.
On October 8th, early in the morning, Pinlebu was captured by KIA and PDF joint forces. The battle to take over Pinlebu started on August 15th, and after almost 2 months, they were able to capture the entire city. Last November, 2023, the coalition forces of the KIA and the PDF attacked and captured the city of Pinlebu for the first time. A few days later, the revolutionary forces retreated as the junta council’s army launched a fierce offensive. In this second seizure, narcotic drugs and heroin were seized from the military council camps.
“After seizing the town, more than 70 heroin and drug soap cups were seized inside the junta council camp. It can be said that these guys are using it,” said a military source.
In the battle to seize Pinlebu, a total of around 300 members of the junta council’s troops and their families surrendered and the weapons were seized by the revolutionary forces. There are also some prisoners of war captured during the battle.
“The terrorist army troops stationed in Myoma police station, Asia Bank Hill and Forest School surrendered and we allowed them to retreat to the Wuntho. There are also prisoners of war who were captured in the battle. It is known that they were from the reinforcement columns captured in the intercept by revolutionary forces. The amount of weapons and ammunition seized is quite a lot,” the military source said.
At present, the terrorist army is carrying out airstrikes on Pinlebu continuously, and the revolutionary forces are carrying out the necessary area clearance and security measures.
