BAGO DIVISION – An official from Gyobinkauk Township’s BTZM GBK PDF reported that Hundred-household Chief Soe Naing who collected information to help the junta council conduct raids in Gyobinkauk Township was killed in an attack.
Soe Naing, a hundred-household chief for AyeywarLay Village of Uyingyi Village Tract, Gyobinkauk Township, was attacked by the members of Bago Yoma based BTZM GBK PDF around 8 p.m. on December 6 and reportedly died on the spot.
Soe Naing is reported to have collected information to help the terrorist junta council conduct raids and reported the movements of PDF soldiers to the administration officer of Kwinchaung Village who also happens to be a Pyu Saw Htee militia leader, and the junta base, which caused the revolutionary forces to attack him.
“That guy claimed he quit the position of Hundred-household Chief and approached the revolutionary forces but didn’t actually quit. After the revolutionary forces had to fall back following the intense fighting in November, his actions of secretly informing the junta council came to light. Him reporting to the junta council contributed to the destruction of AyeywarLay Village, Uyingyi Village and Yonechaung Village. He wasn’t even considerate of his own family. Some of his family members are political prisoners and people who joined CDM. And yet, he became a junta informant. All of these led to us attacking him,” explained the official from BTZM GBK PDF.
