BAGO DIVISION – Hundred-household Chief Tun Tun from Zayitmyaung Village in Min Hla Township that has been reporting the information of People’s Defence Force (PDF) soldiers to the junta council died after getting attacked, according to an official from Tharyarwaddy District PDF.
On August 14 around 9:30 a.m., the Hundred-household Chief was attacked at his home by comrades of Tharyarwaddy District Battalion 3802 Company 4, Underground Guerrilla Force – Oakpho. He reportedly died from two gunshots and a hand grenade and two mobile phones were said to have been seized from his body.
The official from Tharyarwaddy District PDF explained that Hundred-household Chief Tun Tun was targeted because he had reported the details of PDF soldiers to the terrorist junta council, served as a driver for junta forces, bought rations for junta troops, and threatened, forcibly conscripted and extorted the civilians to please the junta council.
“He would follow our comrades and gather information, drive the junta dogs (junta forces) into the (Bago) Yoma and purchase food rations for the junta dogs. That’s why we got rid of him this morning (August 13) when he was about to go out,” said the official.
The official continued that they will be punishing the terrorist junta pillars that have been a thorn on the side of the revolutionary forces and the people and advised the people avoid staying close to those pillars.
