MAGWAY DIVISION – A junta administration officer couple from Koesu Village in Chauk Township was shot dead at their home, according to Arlawaka Urban Guerrilla Force.
Administration Officer Ye Shwe and wife Khin Shwe were said to have been shot seven times and killed at around 4:45 p.m. on July 26.
“They lived on their own. They didn’t resist. When we were searching for evidence after shooting them, the house next door reported it to the junta forces so we had to fall back,” said Bo. Payta, the representative of Arlawaka Urban Guerrilla Force.
The administration officer couple reportedly died on the spot. It is said that they were attacked as they had collected information and provided supplies for the junta council and oppressed the villagers.
The attack was carried out by Arlawaka Urban Guerrilla Force, Oak Awe UG Urban Guerrilla Force and Bagan Bo Cho Team.
An administration officer was similarly shot dead at Aung Yadanar 2 Beer Bar in Shwedwinkone Ward 12, Chauk on February 26.
