MANDALAY DIVISION – Local people reported that Zaw Lin Oo, the junta administration officer for Gutaw Village in Nyaung U Township, died after getting shot.
The junta administration officer reportedly died after getting shot four times around 7:45 p.m. on November 11, and it is said that his body was still not collected at 8 a.m. the next day.
“The administration officer for Gutaw Village in Nyaung U Township was shot four times and killed. His wife reportedly ran away. The village only found out after an improvised mine stuck to the bottom of his daughter’s car exploded. The daughter is a member of the junta police, stationed at Nyaung U Police Station. Residents of the village are disappointed that only the administration officer died. His body is still not collected as of 8 a.m. this morning (November 12),” said a local resident.
The daughter of the now-dead administration officer is stationed at Nyaung U Police Station and is known to oppress and treat people rudely. Her car was reportedly attacked with improvised mines before.
Also on November 11, around 9:40 a.m., several gunmen attacked Village Administration Officer Tin Tun Moe and his associate Tun Myint at Satkhingyi Village, Kyatsal Village Tract, Mahlaing Township, and both were killed on the spot.
