SAGAING DIVISION- The junta army stationed in Depayin Town continues to raid and burn down nearby villages, and thousands of people are still unable to return to homes, stated the Information Officer Htoo Khant Zaw (mother’s son) of the Ye U-based People’s Defense Comrade.
Since August, after the revolutionary forces were forced out of Depayin Town by the terrorist army, the reinforced troops and continuously been attacking and burning the nearby villages.
The terrorist army is continuously launching offensives on the nearby villages, and thousands of people are fleeing to safety for more than 40 days. These people are still unable to return to their homes and are in urgent need of food.
“To this day, they have not been able to return home for 40 days. Most of those war refugees include the elderly, children, and mothers. Some helped them with rice and cooking oil as much as they could, but since the fleeing time was prolonged, the help was not enough. It is heart-breaking to see them struggling for food and cooking as far as they could. We call for assistance to the war refugees, ” said the Information Officer Htoo Khant Zaw (Mother’s Son).
It is reported that the military soldiers stationed back in Depayin Town, continue to burn and destroy houses in the town as well as the houses in the village of Kanpya.
