SHAN STATE – Local residents reported that the junta air force bombed Lashio and Nawnghkio in northern Shan State during the night.
On September 21 past 10 p.m., junta planes dropped two bombs in Lashio that is captured by the MNDAA. The bombs landed in front of Lashio Motel and on the corn trader’s building next to the home economics school, in front of the No. 3 Basic Education High School in Ward No. 12. Although there were no casualties reported, it is said that the building of the corn trader was destroyed.
“It was past 10 p.m. last night (September 21), around 10:20 p.m., they (junta council) bombed with a fighter jet. The building was destroyed but there were no casualties,” said a local resident.
Also on September 21 around 9 p.m., Nawnghkio, captured by TNLA, was bombed by junta Y12 planes and fighter jets but the details of the damages are not yet known.
“They bombed Nawnghkio with a Y12 plane around 9 p.m. last night (September 21) and twice with a fighter jet around 1 a.m. this morning. They bombed three times in just one day, counting the bombing from the morning. The people are living in anxiety, as if we are just waiting for our homes to be bombed. Because of those dogs (junta forces), we can’t sleep well nor eat in peace. It is low of them to be intentionally targeting the non-military target. Are the pilots also just blood thirsty wolves after the flesh of the people,” said a Nawnghkio resident.
The terrorist junta council has been bombing the territories captured by revolutionary forces since September 1 under Yan Naing Min Operation to recapture lost territories.
