CHIN STATE – It is reported that the junta council bombed two places in the city of Mindat in Southern Chin State on Thursday (September 19), after 4:00 a.m.
A resident of the border area of Chin State said that “The plane was flying at a very low altitude so even the people who were sleeping woke up.”
On Thursday morning, the junta council attacked Mindat four times, including a 500-pound bomb, causing damages to residential buildings.
From September 17th to 19th, the junta council launched air attacks on Mindat for three days straight. In September, the military council bombed Mindat City more than ten times.
On the evening of September 17, a place in Mindat City was bombed from the air. Also on September 16, around 7:00 p.m., the junta council carried out an airstrike on Sichae Ward.
It was learned that Prefecture 3 of Mindat City was bombed by the junta council at 6:00 a.m. on September 9. On September 7, at 3:40 a.m., the junta council launched an aerial bombardment near a village in Prefecture 2, according to local sources.
On the morning of September 6, the junta council similarly carried out an air attack on a village in Prefecture 4 of Mindat Township.
On September 4, the junta council carried out two airstrikes on 6 Mile Hill in the western part of Mindat Township.
The repeated airstrikes by the junta council are reported to have caused damages to homes and the environment.
According to local news reports, the junta council carried out more than 30 airstrikes in Mindat township in August, causing damages. In Chin State, the local defense forces have control of most of the areas, and the junta council troops are present only in the cities. The junta council has been carrying out continuous air attacks in southern Chin State.
